Banana Nut Birthday Cake

Uta, one of my best friends, baked me a birthday cake.  Plus she made it without any sugar. Except for the frosting, that is.  It is a banana nut cake with cream cheese frosting.  Maybe a few calories in the frosting.  It was sooo good.  Thanks Uta I love it!

Lite Up The Night

Our neighbor gave us these little solar bug lights for our garden.  They are really great. Plus they change color --- red, blue, yellow and green.

Around the Neighborhood

You really don't have to go to a botanical garden to take pictures of beautiful flowers. Just look around your neighborhood.  I found these beautiful Iris just across the street in my neighbor's yard. I did play around with them on the computer to give them a little different look.

Computer Art

I like playing around with my photographs on the computer.  This one turned out better than I expected.

I think its called "Soehrensia bruchii"  but, I'm not sure.  Anyway, it's a beautiful flower.

Change in Hat

I decided to change the little baby hat and put a big flower on it.  Whata ya think? I think it's better.

We'll have to wait and see how it looks on the little one!

Ojai Flowers

Took my little Winchester to Ojai for "his" little procedure (if you know what I mean).  Drove by this little park and had to stop by and take pictures of the beautiful flowers.  Some of the most perfect Iris I've seen in a long time.  Take a look.

Baby Cap and Booties

Just finished these this morning.  It was my first attempt at booties and a cap.  I would have gone for a more detailed bootie but time was of the essence.  I am giving them away today. The cap was really easy, except for the fact that I dropped a couple of stitches and only noticed them after I sewed the cap together.  Live and learn to check my rows at the end of every one.!!
