Just finished another pastel.  I learn something new with each painting. Hopefully sometime in the near future I'll do better.  But for now it's just fun to keep on trying

My latest watercolor.  Not sure what I'm going to name it.  So far its Big Redhead Bird, but not sure I like that...........not even sure I like the painting.  Oh well, next week I'll start a new one!

New Pastel Painting

Trying my hand at Pastels AGAIN.  I'm beginning to like it a little better, but still have a lot of room to improve.  I like that you can actually do it anywhere.  Just pack a few pieces of chalk and paper and whala.

Spring has sprung!

My Orchid didn't bloom last year, but here it is today.  Is this a good sign?

Green Tomato Mama and Baby

I almost threw this painting out.  It started out as a watercolor, and I just hated it. It was sooo bad.
Then decided to take out the old acrylics and go over it.  Now I don't hate it anymore, I just dislike it.
But it does have me wanting to do something else in acrylic.

Another Leaf Painting

My leaf craze continues.  Just finished this one today.  In actuality, the rocks are not that blue, my camera just makes them a blueish color.  Haven't figured out how to change it.  Going to do one more leaf painting in acrylic this time.  It's going to be a big one 30 X 30.  Need something to hang over my fireplace! 

Fall Leaf in Winter

I finished a painting today.. I mean I really finished.  This painting had several finishes because I was never happy with how it looked.  Well today I'm not going to mess with it anymore.  This is it.  But it actually looks better in person. Photographing does not do it justice for some reason.  It started out as a watercolor, but now it is part acrylic. Don't know where the blue came from.

Anniversary

It was our 50th wedding anniversary, and my kids came out to help us celebrate.  We all had a great day. Here we all are at the Goleta Butterfly Preserve.
