We spent last week with my husband, sister and brother in law on Catalina Island.  It was our first trip to the island, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.  Putting up a couple of our better pictures:

Bear Sighting

Yesterday we were in Cades Cove at Smoky Mountain National Park.   We came across a black bear walking next to the road.  Much to our dismay her/she would not stop and pose for a picture -- so this is the best of what we got....

2011 Tomato Patch

This years tomato crop did not do as well as those in the past.  My son who is the expert gardener can't figure out why.   Maybe it was the weather.  We had a cooler than usual Spring.  Who knows.   Take a look.

Had some peppers too.......they did really well.
